This series of stickers was made to target local schools on their lack of BSL accessibility and education.
These stickers are a protest to the mainstream system that most children are forced into, and it hinders their ability to achieve as well as their classmates.
I used the action of cupping the back of the ear in my stickers to demonstrate that I wanted my audience to listen and hear what I was trying to get across. I kept with a simple colour scheme, including the blue colour as it's the colour of deaf awareness.
There is a total lack of care and awareness in mainstream schools about children with hidden disabilities, and a lack of resources to help them thrive. This is something that needs to change, one way or another, something has to happen, how many kids have to suffer because of a lack of care and an unwillingness to change?
